Privacy Policy

RoleRunner is local-first desktop software. This policy explains what stays local and what may touch the backend.

1. Overview

RoleRunner is designed as local-first desktop software. This policy explains what stays on your device, what may be processed by our backend, and how payment and licence data are handled.

2. Data stored locally

The desktop app may store the following on your device:

  • Resume or CV text you provide
  • Onboarding profile, job targets, work rights, salary range, location, and preferences
  • Generated cover letters and application answers
  • Application records, statuses, fit scores, and local logs
  • App settings and licence key information

3. Data processed by our backend

Our backend may process limited data needed to operate the app, including licence validation, credit balance, payment verification, rate limits, cost controls, abuse prevention, and security metadata.

4. AI processing

If AI generation is enabled, prompt content may pass through our API proxy and third-party model providers solely to return the requested output and manage cost or rate limits. We do not store resumes, cover letters, application answers, job details, or application history on our servers.

5. Payment data

For USDC payments, we may process wallet addresses, transaction hashes, payment amounts, network information, licence keys, and credit balances to verify payment and issue credits.

6. What we do not store

  • We do not host a resume database.
  • We do not host an applicant profile database.
  • We do not store your SEEK password or browser credentials.
  • We do not store your application history on our servers.
  • We do not sell user data.
  • We do not use your resume, cover letters, or application answers to train our own models.

7. Third-party services

RoleRunner may use DeepSeek or another model provider for AI generation where enabled. USDC payments are processed through public blockchain payment rails and related infrastructure.

8. Security and logs

We may keep limited operational logs for security, abuse prevention, debugging, and payment verification. Logs are intended to avoid resume content, generated application content, and account credentials.

9. Your control

You can delete local RoleRunner data from your own device. You can stop using the software at any time. There is no monthly subscription in the credit-pack model unless a separate subscription product is later offered.

10. International processing

Because RoleRunner is operated online and may use third-party infrastructure, limited backend, payment, and AI processing may occur outside your country.

11. Contact

For privacy questions, contact the support address listed on the RoleRunner site or app.
